Second Sunday embarked on a journey with Sydney’s newest producers of immersive experiences, SuperLuna, as the Australian site and production managers to bring to life Australia’s first Jurassic World: The Exhibition. Through eight months of extensive pre-production and five weeks of careful execution on-site, we provided initial feasibility and budget planning, site design and management, local production and logistics planning as well as location scouting to transform The White Pavilion at the Sydney Showgrounds from what was once known as a baby animal enclosure for the Royal Easter Show into a world-class exhibition space.
With the installation of over 4,000 square metres of blackout material, 600 rigging points and over $14 million worth of new, custom-built animatronic dinosaurs, the stage was set for the 5th rendition of the show first imagined by Singapore based producers, NEON Global. The project marked the dynamic collaboration between 40 international touring crew members, Sydney Showgrounds, Superluna Live, NEON Global, ANIMAX Designs, Universal Studios and Sony Australia to what will be known as a significant milestone in Australian entertainment.
